The site partner (third party)
financial analyst
is responsible for ensuring financial compliance on existing and future service agreements with site partners for the Clear Lake and Bay City sites. The analyst will ensure accuracy of the monthly communications as well as manage subsequent follow-up action items. In addition to the monthly recurring duties the analyst will develop and communicate the annual budget & forecast information to site partners as well as ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
Responsible for all site partner budgeting, forecasting,
accounting
and billing as well as providing back-up data and serving as the point of contact for financial issues.
Audit the billing processes ensuring direct and allocated costs are accounted for correctly and billed in compliance with the contracts.
Reconcile and analyze incoming invoicing from site partners.
Gain a full understanding of all plant service agreements across both sites, informing Plant Analysts and
controller
of changes in pricing or other financial changes as contracts roll from year to year.
Work with Plant Analyst and Controller to ensure the site partners budget and forecasts are in-line with contract terms.
Work with the FSS
accountant
and Plant Analyst to ensure transactional integrity, reconciled variances, and month end issues.
Ad hoc financial analysis
Establish efficient processes to reduce time spent on creating invoices.
Involved in all new agreements to give guidance from an accounting perspective on the way contracts are structured, plus help determine accounting treatment for these contracts.
Required Skills:

years experience as a Financial Analyst
Understand Financial Statements, accounting, and modeling concepts
Ability to work independently
Solid presentation and communication skills
Sound analytical skills to compile as well as dissect and interpret financial and operational information.
Strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively work with internal and external resources.
Drive and determination to bring tasks to completion in a timely manner within a quick-paced environment.
Ability to manage a number of tasks in a short time frame.
Strong
computer
skills with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot table and v-lookup)
Desired Skills:
Prior experience in corporate accounting/chemical industry
Experience with SAP
