Responsible for providing a high level of application support for Public Safety Systems.
Work involves analysis of applications, department procedures and user application support.
Equally important is person to person communication skills.
This position will be involved with application upgrades and training of users.
May assist with outside personnel on project upgrades and enhancements.
Defines application problem by conferring with users and if problem exists, communicates it with proper IT personnel.
Assist with ad-hoc reports and analysis beyond reports available through the application, using Crystal Reports or similar tools.
Maintain access, passwords and users within applications.
Provides application support to system end-users.
Work closely with IT Department in upgrades and solutions to application problems.
Ensures operation by training Personnel to properly use city applications.
Provide problem analysis, support to diagnose and remedy problems in operating procedures and computer applications.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
Valid Texas driver license with good driving record.
Must pass extensive background investigation as required for all Pasadena Police Department employees.
Preferred:
Experience with Public Safety software.
