Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees.
Part-time faculty are hired on an as needed basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course.
A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes.
Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.
Required Qualifications for College Preparatory INRW courses:
Bachelor's degree in English or related discipline and additional qualifications such as licensure or work experience relevant to the teaching assignment.
Required Qualifications for Corequisite Academic English courses:
Master's Degree with eighteen (18) graduate hours in English or related discipline.
Preferred
Qualifications:
At least three (3) years of teaching experience in discipline related to assignment or graduate training in developmental education.
Salary Grade:
AH Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
